The A.P. Belt Training System was created by Pat Dougherty who patented the A.P. Belt prototype in 1990. You may not recognize Pat’s name, but you’ve likely seen his work. Arguably the most prolific writer and producer of tennis instructional videos in Tennis, Pat’s body of work spans well over two dozen instructional titles in circulation today. Among them are several best sellers of all time including Killer Forehand, Sonic Serves, Right-Back-Atcha Returns, Bollistic Backhands, Tenacious Net Play, Percentage Shot Selection, and Building Points and Tactics. Much of his work can be seen regularly on the Tennis Channel, Mag Rack and cable networks around the world.

A.P. Belt headquarters are based at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida, where Pat resides year round. Pat’s long association with IMG/Bollettieri Tennis Academy extends back to the mid 1980’s.
